That's true, but seeing that i just upgraded i rather not have to pay a family line cancellation fee. Now if this whole getting out of the contract thing could work without me having to actually pay, then i might be inclined to jumping ship until further notice.

Yeah, I am in the same boat.

I wouldnt jump ship on Sprint just yet guys. Lets see what all these small jump in prices do in the future. I mean the upgrade fee isnt that big of a deal its only every time we upgrade an for just one bill cycle. I rather have that than pay a lot more every month on my bill going with Verizon or AT&T an getting less data. (Yes, speeds are slow right now) But i have faith that Sprint with the help of all the new IPhoner people coming over will be able to get their LTE-Advanced network off the ground real fast. So like a lot of people say as long as i get to keep my unlimited i'll give Sprint the benefit of doubt an see what they have up their sleeve.

Thing is...what advantage does sprint have with the iphone? it may get a lot of sprint people to renew their contracts maybe..but with all 4 carriers having it..I don't see people jumping ship considering sprints recent drop in coverage...

And say iphone comes out..with what? wimax? considering all others will already have LTE with some actual coverage...

Right now unlimited data is all that is keeping me..but I'll tell you this..most iphone users don't use up that much data...

Here is a link that tim.tahtinen over at XDA posted that has worked for some people in getting out of the contract or at least getting the ETF waved.

Sprint's Ts&Cs change: how it affects you | tech adhd

The Administrative change doesnt seem to be working for people getting them out the contract but the arbitration clause seems to be the big point that i'm trying to use to letting me at least get rid of my ETF so in case i did want to jump ship i could with no issues.

dont give up guys, write dan@sprint.com to get out. i went through the same BS in june after being with them for 6 years. their service and customer service is an absolute mess right now, not to mention no 4g where i live. i contacted dans office and they let me out of my eft's for two lines.

we moved to verizon and i can say their friendlier and the wireless service is top notch. its the first time ive had 4g/lte on my phone. yes we pay about $30 more per month but its worth it. also im locked in for 2 years so i get the unlimited data. :headbang:

the rate sprint is going, iphone or not will really hurt their business and i can easily see verizon buying them out. yeah sprint has the best line up of phones but what good is it on a crap network.

Verizon said they are not interested in buying sprint...and that is fairly understandable..I mean what does Verizon need from sprint? their legacy cdma network? exactly...considering the costs of deploying LTE and how fast verizon is doing it..in 2-3 years Verizon may stop using CDMA altogether.

They aren't offering unlimited data anymore.
I called and tried to add myself onto my friend's shared plan (that has unlimited data) and they told me it isn't an option any longer. It's 2GB for $30.

wow that's a pretty good article, I think it gives more than enough to get out the early termination fee.

the evo3d is a great phone but how often can I use 4g? seriously its supposed to be good where i live but the true is that is never available. I believe others carriers will implement it a lot better where it can be usable.

I'm going to give this a second go round tomorrow when i can get to someone else. Tried last night an they tried telling me that it wasnt an materal change. So i have to get to someone that will listen to the facts. Unless they have been told not to do it under any circumstances. We shall see.... If you happen to call let us know how it goes please.

I'm pretty sure they have been told not to let anyone out of contract. At least I have had absolutely no luck, after several phone calls of over an hour each.
