I'm kind of like "Whats the point?". I don't know anyone with a phone that this will work on. Stupid shift and Epic.

I am glad they officially support it. I have been using the hack and it was not working right.

How does Skype choose which phone to support?

You know Microsoft bought Skype right? I wonder if they will more work on Android vs WP7?

Has anyone tried this from Evo 3D to the other person using Skype on a computer? I am curious to how the quality is.

According to this link they support 21 phones officially right now, and if you're phone is not on that list, but has android 2.2 you can manually turn on video calling; no hack required.

So those stupid shift and epic phones should actually work

Can't manually turn it on with all phones. No option on the epic.

What's the point?

They don't need a phone, you can video chat with all Skype users including desktop/notebook users and Apple Mac, Iphone, Ipad, Itouch users.

I'm video chatting with someone else who also has a evo 3d but for some reason it's upside down. Anyone else experiencing this?

I have done Skype with the hack version. It was alright.

It works best in 4G!

I am going to try it with my dad tomorrow.

Almost everyone I know is on android and most of those phones are not supported. Of course I wanted it to work between my two phones cause I don't want to have to whip out my laptop to video chat when I'm out and about.
