Re: Post your download speeds here

If I run a speedtest before noon using 3g I easily get 1.5 meg to 2.5 meg down every single time, but as the day goes by it plummets to about 300kbps to 500kbps. With 4g, I get about 8 down and 1.7 up.

Re: Post your download speeds here

I dont know if this matters but Sprint did "something" on there side. I was getting about 120 to 250kbs per second until they reset whatever it is they reset. They did this when I called them on Saturday to complain about poor signal.

Try this and let us know if it helps...

Wow, since you mentioned that, I retested and my results are on par with yours. Im now at 844/259/145. Thats a good drop from what I was getting this AM. But its also alot better than what I was getting before sprint reset "something" on there side.

Re: Post your download speeds here

I went to mobilespeedtest and do a test on 1MB and 2MB download and I get around 2.5 mb per sec.

Do the 1 MB or 2 MB download for more accurate reading.

I am somewhat happy with the speed.

You know there's a speedtest.net app in the Android Market, right? That's what everyone uses to test their speeds... no more loading up a webpage like on WinMo.

ahh, then you should maybe continue to test for the next week at least before judging how good or bad your speeds are. I had a really bad week the other month where I was getting like 50Kbps lol. I was going insane because nothing would load.

I like to open a new thread and ask people whats the difference between install an APP vs just running it off a browser.

If an APP is just a rehash of whats on the browser, then whats the point in installing an APP?

I dont like to install APP if I dont want to. That is why my 3D is lean. I dont even do email APP. For weather/stocks its adhoc on mine.

Re: Post your download speeds here

I am envious of your speeds. This is my first "4G" phone, had to move up to SERO Premium to get it. And heres my speeds:

576ms, 182kbps down, 116 kbps up

The sales guy told me we also get 4G in Baton Rouge. What I found out was you had to be a 5' x 5' area to get it. Right I am on wifi all the time. Waiting for perma-root, so I can put a Verizon-only PRL.
