It should be under applications or gaming or devices...it may fall under an ADVANCED configuration setting so look around.

Once in the QoS settings, you can type the MAC address of your phone and set its priority. To find the MAC of you phone, go to settings>about phone>hardware information

meatgel...on further note, it appears that the n150 does not have QoS capability.

If your config screen does not look like the one in the following link (with QoS in bottom of left column), then u most likely do not have it,

NETGEAR Router

Nope, it doesn't have the QoS settings. Maybe the next OTA update will fix this -- wishful thinking. It's not that big of an issue, really. I just stay off WiFi at home now.

Thanks for looking into it for me! I really appreciate the help. :headbang:

No problem! It surprises me that they have qos on some of their N routers but not others.

The only other thing I could think of is that the phone is causing an IP address conflict with some other device on your network. If thats the case, you may try setting your phone to a static ip address.

With the phone connected to the wifi network:

menu>settings>wireless>wifi settings>menu softkey>advanced>use static ip> then type your ip in there (usually give it one like 10 higher than the starting ip)

I did what you said, but it seems like no matter what number I pick for the IP, it doesn't stick. I set a static IP on my printers and that worked, so maybe my phone is just being stubborn. I've even tried rebooting between changing the settings. It does always go to .10, though, I just wanted it in the 20s.

Thanks again for your help. I'm gonna keep an eye on this and keep searching. Maybe I'm just looking for an excuse for a new router. :)

You may be setting it beyond the ip range of your router; check your range settings.

Nah. It always wants to be .10. I tried .9 and .11 as well as some in the 20s. I have a printer that is .245, so my range is pretty large.

Re: EVO 3D wifi killing network

Damn. Sorry. Hopefully someone else has a solution. If the router is Comcast equipment and they have newer or different models, call them and tell them u want one! If u end up buying one... Go linksys...for some reason netgear is a pita, especially their combo modem/router gateways
