Are you installing anti virus on your 3D?

Are you installing Anti Virus on your 3D?

Yes, one of the top app in Android market is a AV program.

Any reason to do it?

Yes sir.. Lookout Mobile was one of the first apps I installed the day I got the device. I'm the type of person that would rather be safe than sorry. That's why i even spent the extra little bit and got the defender series otterbox to keep it cosmetically safe too. If i could, I'd rather prevent something bad from happening..

There are 2 ways you look at it.

If you get anything from Android market, then there is no need for any AV.

1. If you get it from other source, then you might need the AV.

2. That explain the reason why the default Andriod comes with no File Explorer?

I look at it as the same as my pc. There is no need for antivirus. Period.

Thats not true, there have been malware released on the Android Market.

But yeah, I have look out mobile installed. Just because I install a lot of apps not from the market.

I have never used an antivirus or task killer on my phone EVO and EVO 3d and have had no problems in fact I see more people with that stuff on their phones doing more harm than good

No, as far as I can tell, it doesn't use up too much memory. It uses a total of 3.69MB but you can "move it to card" and it'll only use up 1.53MB of the device's memory. That's not a lot in my book, especially being that it protects my shiny new device.

I like that if I misplace, or god forbid I loose my phone, I can just go online and find its location within a few minutes. Also works great on keeping a tab of where your children are(if they have an android or windows mobile device)!!

I also use lookout mobile. This is my first android device (coming from windows mobile) never heard of phone viruses before but i have heard of the droiddream malware coming from the market. I would also rather know before hand then after if my phone was infected, this device is my life lol.
