Youtube 3D problem?

Last night i was on youtube and decided to see if there are any 3d videos. for some reason my phone will not play any 3D videos on youtube, and same with my friends phone. any ideas on what it can be? we are both using the youtube app.

first, are you using the stock youtube app or did you update thru the market? Don't update, you need stock...

when you search, is your search including "yt3d"?

i have no idea if its the updated or not. under setting, apps, the version is 2.1.7 and there is no option to uninstall. in the market it says i i dont have an update, but the version is 2.1.6.

and for searching, i typed 3d video test and only clicked on a video that had 3d next to it.

Yeah 2.1.7 is the one that comes preloaded on the phone. Have you tried restarting the evo 3d? I noticed sometimes the 3D gets disabled and the 3D videos don't get recognized. In those cases, I restart the phone (killing the app in the task manager prob works too). Also, make sure you're trying to view 3D videos that actually work with the EVO 3D. There are some out there labeled 3D, but they don't work. When you search and see the thumbnail of the video, you'll most likely see a split image for the ones that work. Like Syanni said, search YT3D and click one of those videos to see if you can get at least one working. There are also a number of videos at youtube.com/3D. 3D videos need to be turned to landscape, full-screen view.

I have 2.1.7 and just tested using search "yt3d" and tons came up and worked fine.....just got my 3d yesterday

I have to be using the mobile site for them to work in the media player. I'm using dolphin hd not the stock browser.
