Best way to put turn on and off ringer?

Hello,

I attend meetings and go to the movies on a regular basis. I'd like an icon on my home page so I can quickly turn on and off the ringer. If I can also have an icon to turn on and off flight mode that would be great as well. I see a page already prepped on my phone with wifi, bluetooth, 4G and GPS but I don't see one for phone/flight mode.

Someone else mentioned Sush which is in the market and when you turn down your ringer to vibrate, it will allow you to set a "wake up time" to return to full ringer.

Good for movies!

Check out "Mute Free" in the market.

Hold down in an open space and put widget, search under all HTC widgets, you can do the dashboard style with a bunch of options or I just do the profile one for silent, sound on or vibrate.

Thanks! Been wondering how to do just that and the profile one is the perfect option for one click switching between silent, sound, and vibrate. since I don't use BT I just removed the BT widget and replaced it with the profile one. thanks again!

+1 This is how I've done it since I switched to Android.

Re: Best way to put turn on and off ringer?

Yea, this is one of the things that has bugged with Android. Wint my TP2, All I had to do was hold down the hang up button and it would swap into vibrate mode. Do it again and it would come back out. I wish one of the permabuttons on the bottom of the phone would do this, but it doesn't look like it.

The other thing thats really annoying me is the way it notifies of appointments. With my TP2, when an appointment remider hit, it would wake up my screen and pop up a message on the screen, along with a sound. I could also specify it to blink the light till I responded.

With Android, when the reminder hit, I CAN hear the sound and see the light blink... for a while. It doesn't seem to wake up my screen if it's off and the blinking light only lasts 5 minutes, with no way to change it. This caught me a couple times when I wasn't around for those 5 minutes after the thing went off. So I never noticed it.

Re: Best way to put turn on and off ringer?

Rather than installing an app, just add the Profile widget to your home screen and in one press you mute, in two presses you vibrate and in three presses your back to normal.

Thanks. I don't see a profile widget. I ended up using beautiful widgets but I'd still like to know more about the profile thing.
