Re: Screen Alignment - is it normal ?

Thanks guys!! I never noticed it till this thread. It looks to me as if the LCD screen isn't loose but misaligned. And NO...this shouldn't be "normal".

Re: Screen Alignment - is it normal ?

So true scrosler! I think I may be calling sprint for a replacement. I know under normal conditions, it doesn't look all that bad and really isn't all that noticable but it's the principle and it shouldn't be this way.

Would anyone buy a new car if the dash was tilted?

Re: Screen Alignment - is it normal ?

To be fair, the angle of the pic makes it look far worse than it really is... you can tell it's angled because you can't see the 2d-3d switch at all. Not saying the issue doesn't exist, just saying it's likely magnified in that shot...

Regardless of the intensity of the defect, its still a defect. But yeah, I hear you. I wish I could see one up close so I knew what it looked like. Mine doesnt have that, thankfully!

What pic are you refering too??

This is the whole screen. From the lock screen, to home screens, to pics, vids....as soon as you hit the power button and the weather lock screen appears, you can see the screen is tilted (at the top clock down) and the bottom right is tilted to the left. Has nothing to do with the 3D features, functions, etc.

I'm not talking about the 3D features or anything else.. I'm talking about the angle in which he took the picture of the actual device. The EVO 3D is tilted away, exposing the right side of the outside of the screen (border) more. I'll repeat again, I'm not saying the problem doesn't exist, just saying the issue could be magnified in that shot because of the angle.

Yeah, he didn't say that. He is saying it looks worse in the picture because the angle it was taken at. Because of the angle the pic was taken at it exaggerates the issue even more.

Re: Screen Alignment - is it normal ?

Oh ok, I miss read you guys. I didn't realize you were talking about the OP's pic!

But on mine, if you look at it straight on you can tell it's shifted. No, it's not horrible but noticable nonetheless. Also, when I bring down the notification curtain, on the very bottom left by the dots, theres a bright white line that's as tall as the grey part. It's not present on the right.

EDIT:
After seeing the pics again by the OP, That is a pretty good representation of the problem.

Are you sure there's supposed to be a white line on the bottom right of the notification pulldown menu? I have two E3Ds and neither have the white line on the right. One seems untilted and the other may or may not be tilted (lol can't tell, feel like my mind is playing tricks on me because I'm looking for it). But neither are as pronounced as what's shown by the OP. If you go into landscape mode and pull the shade down, there's still no white line in that area. And seems to me if the screen was tilted so that the bottom right of the screen was moved slightly to the left, you'd be able to see everything on that side just fine (wouldn't the left side be the part that's cut off?).

Unless I'm looking at a different line and misunderstanding you, I wouldn't go by that as an indication of how bad your screen is tilted. Someone should come up with an app with grid lines or some other way to measure.
