POP E-mail Not Checking Automatically

I used to have this same problem with the EVO 4G and was using K-9 mail for a while. Now the issue has returned with the EVO 3D. The issue is the stock e-mail client does not go out to check for new mail by itself. I have 3 mail accounts that all do the same thing. If I go into the mailbox it will do a sync but only if I go into it. It should sync by itself and give me a notification of new mail but it doesn't when the phone is idle. Like I said I had the same issue on the EVO and it looks like it was fixed because I went back to the stock client on that phone and no longer had the problem. However now that I have the EVO 3D the problem has returned. Just want to know if anyone else has this issue as I might have to go back to K-9 mail.

I've also noticed this problem. As well as some emails loading as blank. I don't know if the second issue is due to embed images in signatures. Any one else having that problem?

I am having the same problem on m 3D. I have the sync times set to every hour peak and off peak. The email will not sync until I go into the mailbox. Something else I noticed on the EVO if I went into one mailbox it would sync all of my accounts. On the 3D I have to go into each account to have it sync very strange.

Sam your ahead of me.. I guess i forgot how the Androids work, but i cant even find sync settings. I know in my 4g I had it set for peak and off peak, but now those setting areas i am unable to find.

HELP!

if u set your default mail view to "all accounts", when u open mail, it will sync all accounts

ZODAC open up your email folder then hit the menu softkey and select "more". Choose settings then under send and receive. Select update schedule and you can adjust peak off peak options.

not long after getting the EVO 4G last summer, this happened to me often and it bugged the you-know-what out of me..........then I came across an article about using App Killer to close programs, would cause other apps such as mail to not work properly. So I stopped using App Killer and my problems went away. It is true, I don't like seeing all those apps as they appear to be running in the background but, somehow, parts of them all work together.
