I hate Engadget
I've had this phone for just a day and I can't believe how much better it is than the EVO 4G I had. And it's not the 3d... at all, I actually can't even stand the 3d as of yet. Makes me dizzy and cross-eyed.... It's the little things. Such as that new lockscreen. That is awesome. The new notifcations pull down, has all your previous apps right there, notifications and then settings at the bottom. Perfect! Even the new power button.... It's so much better, easier to use. BT is much better. I love my EVO 4G, but I just keep finding little upgrades that I love! The screen as well, putting the EVO 4G and EVO 3d side by side, it just looks so much better, more crisp. I know they mentioned the battery life sucking and I know that is a comparision to the iphone. But what they never mention in those reviews is that the screen is 1" bigger! That is a HUGE difference in screen real estate when you're only talking 3 to 4 inches, of course the battery will die faster. I can't even use a phone that has a smaller screen anymore. That review they did was complete bullshit and I am never going to that site again.

thanks for the information. except I not following you on the screen size being 1" bigger? the screen is the same size unless I'm missing something.

you may look at the iphone 4 and say, that review got a 9/10. but so did the evo4g & atrix4g. those scores reflect phone technology at that time. if you compare the competition right now, the evo3d is going up against another android phone, the galaxy s2 which engadget gave a 9/10 (the sensation got an 8/10). As I see it, you only want to read/watch positive reviews of things you like. if there's a negative review, you discredit the source as being biased even though review showed why the phone got a 7/10. |

Guys, read my post better, I stated they compare the battery life with the iphone often, which the screen on both EVO's is basically an 1" bigger. Not that, the EVO 4G and EVO 3d is different. I know those are the same. |

I was also disappointed with the engadget review I had high hopes for the 3d and they slammed it.. when comparing it to most 4g high end android phones the battery seemed to be on par with most models with some fairing a little better than others. I think gsm technology has less of an impact on battery life too vs cdma.. just an assumption. I wasnt expecting everyone to just score it perfectly just cause it was a evo even other reviews I read that had negative comments towards it didnt seem as bad as engadget made it to be |

Good point though, I am biased but I still think they gave this phone a bad score. Especially if you look around at other reviews on tech sites. |

doh, i see what you mean now. yeah thats right, when people compare iphones to android phones nowadays, they don't mention bigger screen size = more power consumption. In the end, all reviews are just opinions. if you use the phone yourself and like it, then whatever the reviews say doesn't matter. |
Re: I hate Engadget
so far the only thing that isn't great on the 3d is the 3d lol - you can only use it in landscape... and the included movie didn't work out of the box. boo!
