EVO 3D preorder for Sero-P customer..Options??
 

Hi,
I am ready to upgrade my EVO to a EVO 3D coming June24th. What are the options to order or pre-order them for a SERO-P customer.
I know it cant be done from Amazon mobile, Wirefly or target mobile.
Please suggest option....

I like to call into Teles to get my 3D but 2 weeks ago they tell me call on the 24th n they open at 7 am.

Can I still order now or few days early?

I just preordered mine at the sprint store today.

I'm upgrading from SERO to SERO-P
Once I buy the phone, I wonder if I can call retentions and try to get the $10 4G fee waived.

I am a little confused about how much my bill will be once I get this phone. Right now I have the $30 plan, and I know about the 4G $10 add on, but is there another add on in pricing too? In other words will my bill be $40 or $50 with this phone?

It will be $50. $10 for 4g and $10 for sero premium on top of the $30 plan.

It adds the Any Mobile Any Time deal to the plan. Aside from the obvious that you can use virtually any phone on the plan, they didn't tell me it did much more than that.

It's like an everything plus plan with the minute cap.

Premium adds unlimted call to any cellphone that is not even part of Sprint. Only calling to land phone will cost you.

It adds GPS and Sprint TV unlimited.

I am going to call in at 7 am on the 24th to order my phone. I need to upgrade my plan from $30 to $50.

I use google voice as my free Sprint to home #, so it's unlimited anytime including landlines. And who doesn't have Gmaps/Bing/etc. For free gps.
So I guess there's the Extra channels on Sprint TV for $20 more a month.

All the extra stuff is just $40/month. Having a phone that is 4G capable adds the extra $10/month. Cause that's how they like it. I upgraded to the $40/month plan already and they said whenever I activate a phone that is 4G capable (Evo 3D of course, once it's out) then they'll add on the $10.

Google voice is using data?

Gmap doesnt do nice and turn. I think Android phone can do it but I have play Android before.

How is that you guys got to keep SERO and get the EVO they told me back when I got the Hero I couldn't keep Sero anymore! >:O I fought and fought and they just claimed it was impossible! in the end they just gave me a $10 discount off the regular plan. they did the same for everyone else I knew on the plan! Should I try to call and argue my way back into it? Do you think it's possible? MY dad kept an older phone and thusly his Sero and now they are letting him get the Evo and maybe E3D too

Maybe the option for SERO premium wasn't available at that time? They told me if I change from my $30 SERO to the $40 SERO, I can get any phone (except the ones that have plan deals, like the Instinct, which only excludes about 3 phones) including the latest smart phones, like the Evo 3D which I'm planning to get. Of course, as you've seen, it adds the $10 for data to make it $50/month.

I would try talking to them again to see if you could get back on the plan. If that fails, I'd write an email to customer care. I had an unrelated issue a while back about keeping my SERO plan (not related to the type of phone on the service) and it was a long process until I finally sent an email to all of the customer care addresses I found. It wasn't inflammatory but it expressed my experience, concerns, and that I was disgruntled. I know they don't like changing a plan into SERO, but you were already there once and would be worth at least trying to get on the SERO Premium plan again. As long as it's worth it to you to expect a bit of a fight from them.

Yah, I would call them again and find out. Maybe ask your dad to clone you? They do allow that.

You can still get SERO today, but its $60. There is no secret about this.

Not going well They are really claiming that the Sero-P plan doesnt exist. And I need a number of someone who has it to verify it exists.... any brave volunteers?

UPDATE:
They were very cooperative but they're claiming my plan at 59.99 (Everything Plus Premiere i believe she called it) is the cheapest plan they have available and she "sees very few people with it". She says that they dont know any other plans. They are going to call me back in 2.5 hours to see if I could gather any more info on the Sero-P plan that they are claiming doesn't exist.

Could you guys give me as much info you have about this plan. My understanding is it is an updated version of the OG Sero plan that allows you to utilize the newer handsets. This is with additional charges of $10 for the "premiere status/access to newer phones and $10 more for Premium Data (4G). Is this correct?

I am currently on Everything plus 500 ("Premiere"?). I wonder if they could just drop to 300 and get my price point closer to the $50/month you guys mentioned....

If all fails, just ask your dad to call and clone his account and are able to get the SERO plan. It might be you have to pay your dad since u are in his account now. In any case, those CSR tell you the wrong thing. SERO is still around except now its called the Sero Premium.

Why do they need a number? Just to compare accounts? I can send you mine if it turns out they're still asking for it and you think it'll help you out.

Thanks for the offer I will continue to try to negotiate with them without a number as much as possible I just can't see how they'd need a number. I think missed their call so I'll have to call back later.

I found this link (McGuire’s Law » Blog Archive » Finally - A Solution) for those who had SERO and had it mysteriously switched to a non-Sero account which I found out happened to me when they forced me to switch to EPRP to get the Hero. I had some trouble initially because they said for some reason I didn't have Sero just a comparably priced and featured plan. I am going to wait until after I get the E3D tho, because it says you have to upgrade through Sprint and I wan to stick with my Best Buy reservation.

I wonder if you should get your account straighten out with Sprint prior to purchasing at Bestbuy. Sprint might be less likely to fix your account after a recent change/2yr commitment.

I recommend this also. I t.o.l.'d into a sero plan in november, not sure if they allow this any more. But I'd definetly try to get them to let you back on youre old sero plan first.

You cannot 'clone' a Sero, or a Sero Premium account anymore.
You cannot start one from scratch. Sprint would love to get rid of all of them, but they know they are guarded by their owners. They offered the Premium upgrade to get more money to compensate for the use of bandwidth.
Your best bet is to find someone selling a plan, and go from there.
'Sprint Employee Care' (who handle these accounts) can add, or remove, the 4G option at anytime from the Premium plan.
I have two Sero Premium plans on my account, and I love them. Can't wait for the Evo 3D!

Well, I know, back in September of 2009, that TnA-2xXtReM had some $30 plans available for sale... transferring the ToL into your name and taking over the plan for a one-time fee.

If you get that, then after it's all set up, it shouldn't be a big deal calling them and asking them to up the plan to a SERO Premium.

Hopefully TnA-2xXtReM still has them available/is still active here.

I sent an email to them on Tuesday about migrating to SERO-P since Sprint made me change from my SERO plans in order to upgrade to the EVO. No luck so far. Haven't heard anything back from them yet and my account hasn't been changed.

It seems like you are correct. The more I read the more I am beginning to believe that the SERO-P plan does not exist anymore.

It seems like there was a brief window in time (after I left Sero in 2009 for the Hero) aprox. 2010ish where they made a Sero-P option; but recently that has been nixed except, obviously for those already on it. The discounted Everything plan I have seems to be the only option that still remains.

This is basically what the Sprint reps are saying but they aren't even confirming that there ever WAS a Sero-P plan. All info I have found on Sero-P is old, nothing newer than 2010. Is it possible this is the case? Does anyone know of someone getting into Sero-P recently? It's sounding like regardless of my situation and or past Sero affiliation they are refusing to let anyone into Sero-P anymore! As you stated they would love to get rid of ALL Sero/Sero-P customers if they could. If this is the case I fear I am fighting a pointless battle :(

My understanding is SERO-P still exists but it is only for people moving from the old SERO. If you are not currently on an old SERO account they they probably won't put you on SERO-P account.
