i hope the screen is better then the evo

im talkin about screen quality with no 3d involved...one of my biggest issues with the evo was the terrible colors and contrast...the blacks were borderline gray...

that and the camera were the biggest reasons i jumped ship to the epic 4g and i dont kno if i can leave my super amoled....only way i will get the evo 3d over the Galaxy s 2 is if the contrast shows a significant improvement over the original evo


rant over that is all....still the phone looks gorgeous and i like how its width is less then that of the evo...looks like it will fit in the hand better

Yes, it will clearly be better than the Evo 4G; 480 x 800 pixels 4.3" Colors: 65,536 (16-bit) v.s. Evo 3D; 540 x 960 pixels 4.3" Sprint hasn't released the color aspect ratio yet...and if there smart they should have it like the Epic and Iphone Colors: 16.7 million (24-bit)

/\ what he said, heard the same. If it's Super LCD, it's better. Plus it's qHD res.... phone is hot, with or without 3D.

If its not 16bit screen then its 24bit..there really isnt an in between...now question is...is it PenTile or not..

I'm super glad to hear you guys say something good about the super lcd screen I have never actually seen one and was wondering if it was better than my current evo. I spent 2 hours looking for a comparison on YouTube vs iPhone screen and super amoled... in your opinions does a super lcd screen compare to that of the iPhone 4 or galaxy s screens?

Super LCD is no Super AMOLED or IPS, but its definitely better then regular LCD..mostly when it comes to blacks.

I wonder if the 3D effects are better then on the Nintendo 3DS. On that thing the viewing angle is VERY VERY narrow. In fact it's hard to keep it at the right angle in order to see any 3d effects at all. Just a little tilt and you loose the effect. And when you DO see 3D, it makes your eyes feel weird. The 3D part of it looked like two flat images one overlaying the other. I wasn’t impressed at all.

Maybe the EVO 3D will do better in the 3D graphics area then the Nintendo 3DS but I just want it for it's superior power and hope that the 3D stuff doesn't get in the way.

I think HTC started putting super lcd screens on the Verizon incredible I was looking at a coworkers and the colors looked a little better. Hopefully with the higher resolution the evo 3d will look even better. I really hope the colors aren't as washed out as they are on the original evo.
