Hey Scott, i am loving the new rom but regardless of kernel, my phone is running a little warm and battery drain is pretty bad compared to cleanrom 2.5. I think I may have to switch back to 2.5 in the mean time.

Depending on usage patterns that makes sense. Before you switch, just remmeber I have anticipated this situation already and placed a file on your SD Card to clock the ROM back down to 1.2GHZ which is where 2.5 is. At that point batter should return to what you are used to and phone will still benefit from enhanced kernel. Just a thought and may save you some time.

Also, a few people have complained of this and we found out it was an app that was not playing nice with the new kernel because they did not do a completely fresh install. Did you do fresh or dirty install? Also, can you post your Uptime vs Awake time? That will also tell us a tale.

Definitely a fresh install(rom and apps), uptime vs awake time was acceptable at an average of about 5 to 1 ratio. The weird thing is after it started getting warm along with excessive battery drain I went ahead and flashed the 1.2 zip and the heat and battery drain remained the same. After that I dirty flashed 2.5 and my phone was perfect again. I will give it one my try tonight and tomorrow and see what happens.

Something else is going on... If you flashed 1.2GHZ zip and it stayed warm... thats not right. I run this thing hard at 1.78 and it only gets warm from time to time. I dont know what it is... I really dont but I can tell you the results you are getting are contrary to what all beta testing and most other user feedback shows. Im stumped. That doesnt happen often :???:

Well I just like quadruple wiped everything and I just reflashed it as well as flashing the 1.2zip. I probably wont even add any apps for a day or two to see how it works out.

Ok, let me know how it goes. I think you will see the ROM itself with no apps is very good on battery at 1.2.
