when using wifi tether my laptop connects just fine but im getting a no internet connections message. all was fine and dandy before doing all the latest and greatest upgrades. i made a nand backup before doing all the updates and switched back, all was well once again. i'm back to the latest and greatest updates no joy...any suggestion

What ver of WiFi tether? 3G or 4G? The new Sprint stock ROM breaks older versions... But others using it said it works fine.

The hotspot hack is in the ROM for 3G wireless and Wired tether.

i've tried v3.0-per14 & v3.1-beta4, just for kicks i tried the older versions (v2.0.2 thru v2.0.

Use this version, its the latest: WiFi Tether For Root Users (3.1beta5) Supports EVO 3D! - xda-developers

Before you start to tether, go into settings, select device to be Evo 3D. Also put a check mark in Routing Fix and and MSS Clamping.

It works perfect. I am posting from it right now.

Also, what are you trying to tether on 3G or 4G? Just curious I can only get 3G at the house so....

in the past i was able to 3g & 4g tether, of course i prefer 4g due to the speed. I'm gonna give the 3.1beta5 a try and let you know how it goes...THANKS for an awesome rom & support.

updated to 2.1 this morning and everything seems fine. with 2.0 I also noticed/feel like 3D is acting funny. Sometimes the screen doesnt swith to 3d without a reboot and I swear the pictures I took dont look right. its almost impossible to focus ur eyes to see it in 3D... only happened with images I took after updating to 2.0. I report back with how 2.1 runs for me.
