Re: [ROM] OMJ's HTC EVO 3D Custom ROMs | 1.13652.1 ICS!!! | 4.0.3 | Updated *5/9/12*
Okay everything is working great now all the apps are there. I answered my own questions. And Thanks OMJ you were right not having the SD card set up for apps2sd was the problem.
So here is how I fixed the problem just follow this guide to repartitioning your SD card. Oh i did this by simply putting the phone into disk drive mode no need to remove sd card as the guide says it works fine in disk drive mode. SD card partitioning - XDA-Developers I then downloaded the new super wipe script from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...6&d=1313196563 So after you have set up your SD card go to recovery and run the super wipe script, then flash the new rom and everything is running great now. Thanks again OMJ. |

What ROM & firmware version do u currently have? Quote:
I see your issue..... Here is how I flashed. I just simply downloaded the new rom as a zip directly on the phone. -Reboot to recovery -select install from zip and pick the rom -once install done I hit wipeall factory data reset -then I wipe dalvk cache -and then I reboot you never wipe after flashing a ROM, always before! since u hit wipeall factory data reset, it erased the data partition. Thanks OMJ, problem fixed after reading your post about leedawg install. I was doing factory data wipe after rom install and that was causing the other apps to not appear.
Thanks again |

I Still Have The Same Problem as The other 1.5 Users Here .. I Can't Get ICS Workin.. I Even Relocked My Phone, Went and Updated Everything Through Sprint To The Newest Versions, Went Back and Unlocked My Bootloader and Wiped Everything. I Install The Rom and It Gets Stuck On The HTC Screen Every Time.. It However Now Installes V2.7 When Before I Did all The Updating It Wasn't Able To Do. I'm No Expert But I'm Guessing That It Has Something To Do With The Kernel Being Different and Me Having S-On??

Ah I see the error in my ways. Thank you! And your assumption was right I did not wipe after the flash the last time so that would explain why it was working just fine then. Wish your mom a happy mothers day. |

How to Flash Any ROM or Kernel You Want You can get recovery to flash kernels for you, you just have to have fastboot boot up recovery for you. It's very simple really, and thanks again go to Brandas for pointing it out. I'm just putting it here for everyone to use. This method will allow you to simply flash any ROM you choose without extracting any boot.img's and worrying about flashing from recovery and then going to fastboot. It's kind of a one stop shop for all ur needs. To do this, you need to have already followed the instructions in the first post. So you are rooted and have the necessary files for adb installed. You should also have your ROM or kernel of choice on ur sd card. This is also assuming that the recovery.img you downloaded from the first post is still in your sdk tools folder. If it isn't, now is the time to put it back there. Now, all you have to do is get back in ur command prompt from ur sdk tools folder and do, Code:
adb reboot bootloader Code:
fastboot boot recovery.img Last edited by OMJ; 05-13-2012 at 07:24 PM. |

Thank You For The Quick Reply OMJ. I actually Tried That Prior To Posting My Last Post. But It also Didn't Work.. I Believe If You Continue To Read On That Thread The Instructions Were On You'll See That They Mention That It Doesn't Work any Different Than CWM . Unless I'm Missing Something On That Post.
I Wish I Had a Linux System So I Can Get Rid Of This Stupid S-On Crap.. I Honestly Preordered My Evo Lte allready But I Know That I'm Goin To Miss My 4g Being That I Live In Crappy Stockton Ca and We Have Really Good Coverage here With Wimax And Won't Be Getting LTE any Time Soon.. |

Hi guys. I flashed from fastboot. Everything went smoothly. Been running ICS for a few days. Very zippy, works great. One small problem though, I have been unable to send MMS messages. They just fail.
