I flashed back to 2.4 and its fine. I then tried flashing to 2.5, and had no problems, im now on 2.5. But if i try to flash to 2.7, the same situation occurs, and it just reboots continuously, and i have to flash back to 2.5 to get back up and running.

This is exactly what is wrong with my phone! I need a way to stop the reboots or how to get 2.7 working

you two do a superwipe first, and then flash the ROM?

Have you tried Ziggy's 2.17 Kernel? I have just flashed it to test since I have been having bootloops/RR with Anthrax kernel. From others experience with it, it is reporting to be more stable with slightly less performance than Anthrax with better battery life. Its hard to find but I have a copy. Ill give it a good testrun for a few days and see just how stable it really is. It has adjustable OC and UV, but the voltage tables are not standard as this kernel allows voltage change per CPU. I dont think Ziggy is officially supporting it as there is no changelog or information. Seems to have been built for Virus over at infectedrom.com for Eternity rom line.

Status report?

without saying what step for step you think you did no one has any way of telling what you did wrong. cause if you do it right, it works.

I actually began testing a new kernel. But not because Ziggy's was bad, just that Ziggy wasnt officially supporting his kernel. I am now using Dodava's kernel. [KERNEL] [OC/UV Support]Lastest stock Kernel with fast charge, 2WCR, and Ponury - xda-developers So far its just as stable as Ziggy's with same stellar battery life as Ziggy's. Ability to vary voltage/clockspeed, PGM ready, and fast charge ready. So far so good. I suggest you do a NANDROID and flash it. You can always go back if needed, but I doubt you will. Right now im running 1.728ghz/486mhz with screen on and 864mhz/384mhz with screen off, both with interactive governor. Running for a day stable.

I am on Meanrom currently tho, but I'm pretty sure since the base of dodava's kernel is HTC, it should provide the same stability on OMJ's rom. Again, its worth a try at the very least.

Well I'm currently on my own Rom, which is a stock base like omj's is.

I mean I'm actually pretty happy with the freeza kernal I nodded but with out a kernal that supports accelerated graphics then we can't get CRT animations as far as I know lol

I know over on xda chad dropped another kernel for testing .. I have been using the stock one from HTC and haven't had any problems with it also on my own build.. Still get great battery life with stock battery..

Hopefully some of the custom kernels get the bugs worked out .. Most of em have issues..

I use Chad's private kernel because it supports 2way call recording.
The stock kernel only supports it via api which doesn't record the incoming as well.

Well after a few days testing I have to say that I am now using Dodava as my daily kernel. Battery is still awesome, and speed is great. Link is a few posts above. Its definitely worth a test drive fellas. So far all reports are same as mine.
As an example: Yesterday I took my phone off the charger at 8:45a. Have wifi/4G/GPS/3G/Autosync on the entire time.(That doesnt mean they were in actual use the whole time). I plugged my phone in to charge at 1:30a this morning with 35% battery left. I had a little over 2.5 hrs screen time on with moderate usage.
