This looks like it got solved by reloading and transfering from pc to phone rather than downloading right to phone. Flashing ok now. Thanks for the suggestions.

The red and blue arrows for data is pretty cool, its almost my favorite part of the rom...LOL

Anyway great work as usual, between you and scrosler I might end of flashing my evo 3d to death.

Just flashed omj 8/20 rom and tried flashing stock kernel and the phone would get stuck on HTC logo and never boot up..with the 8/15 rom it booted up no problem, that's strange..anyone?

I didn't do the OTA waiting for a new ROM. Yesterday I found out that HTCdev now allows the bootloader be unlocked. So I went to try and download the OTA and update and now my OTA is GONE... For some reason I can't get the icon to pop back up on my phone. checking via settings/system update is telling me that I don't have any available updates.

I hope i get the OTA notification again by 8/23...

Anyone else having this issue?

not sure I understand the new stuff about flashing the new ROM.

"just make sure it's the modified version w/o the new hboot". how do I do that? not sure what or where to look to verify it's that.

odd, try wiping everything & reflashing

yeah I'm digging those icons too :)

ROM already has the stock kernel, so I'm am confused why you'd flash it over.

on a side note, I did flash freeza's modified stock kernel & had no issues. I'll be including this kernel in future ROMs!

why use HTC's unlocking? it still has to be rooted....they are unlocking the bootloader, but that doesn't mean you can flash custom ROMs....plus u are openly voiding your warranty! DONT DO IT!!!

bottom line...you need to update your firmware when flashing a 2.08 ROM. You just dont want the hboot, or you're screwed. I flashed the version w/o hboot, but some are taking it a step further & only flashing the radio, pri & rpm.

I did wipe everything multiple times. every thing shows up except the following apps.

-MSL reader
-Google+
-File Expert
-Facebook
-MyBackupRoot
-PPCGeeks Tapatalk
-Titanium Backup
-Wifi Tether v3.1-beta3

Those are all apps installed to /Data/app

along w/ adobe reader, google maps, flashlight, cache cleaner, polaris office, Sprint Zone....I bet u don't have these either.

I've seen this issue when including apps2sd, but it's not in the ROM.....I would try redownloading the ROM

Okay - I've got kind of an odd issue. I'm not getting the updated status bar as pictured in the images - no blue/red upload & download indicators and no % battery meter. I'm still only getting the original EVO 3D status bar.

I did a full wipe before flashing the new 2.08.651.2/2.3.4 ROM - also of note, this is my first custom ROM flash with my new EVO 3D, although I have used many of OMJ custom ROMs in the past with previous phones - not a newb ;)
