Will the OTA Fryo update kill my root?

I rooted my phone about a month ago with unrevoked. Last night my phone downloaded the OTA update for 2.2, but did not install it. How do I keep it from updating. I want to keep the rooting option after the 2.2 update.

So, if I update to 2.2 I lose root, but for how long. Do we have a way to get back if the phone takes the update???

Lastly, if I turn the phone off will it update when I turn it back on??
