Anyone get the update for the incredible yet? All that I heard of so far was the Evo and the Droid receiving it. Anything on the dinc yet?

No word yet... I'm thinking we definitely wont hear anything about it for at least the next few day since the Droid update is just rolling out. I just don't see Verizon trying to mess with rolling out updates to 2 phones at the same time.

I also don't see how it could be too much longer though since the EVO already rolled out. There is also a 2nd leaked version of froyo for the Inc floating around now that took care of a couple of the issues seen in the 1st. It's still not perfect, but it's close.

Yep my buddy just confirmed that he can get the 2.2 update via sprint!

Honestly, I got tired of waiting.

The Incredible was out before the EVO and it was rumored that the original Droid wouldn't even be able to be updated to Froyo, but it's getting released before the Incredible.

That was kind of a kick in the fact to me so I rooted and installed Froyo myself.

I really didn't want to root, but they [HTC/Verizon] kind of forced me to do it.

Was wondering if anyone has installed this new froyo leak from here http://incredibleroms.com/ yet. Never rooted my rom and this is my first android. so i wanna get facts before i screw up haha

I didnt download it from there, but I've been running the 8/1 leak since the day after it came out. I haven't had any major problems. Biggest is the quality of Pandora is worse, but there is a fix for that. Also when using nav and playing music, the nav still cuts the music to give directions but won't resume the music. I think those are the only problems I've ran into unless I'm forgetting something.

Didn't get any froyo yesterday , maybe gingerbread is next. LOL :lol:

Haven't got the update yet. waiting another week then rooting. was hoping to avoid that but who knows.
