Hotmail not syncing / "expired news letter mail"

I use 2 seperate email accounts and need to sync both on the phone. One is GMAIL which I'm using and have no issues with at all. The other is a hotmail account (POP3) using HTC Mail which I can't figure out for the life of me. I have verified all settings and know that everthing is correct as far as incoming/outgoing settings. I can even send an email from the hotmail account. The ONLY email that I've received is from 'Windows Live Hotmail Team' w/ a subject line of 'Expired news letter mail'. I've searched around and can't find a solution. I've seen a thread on XDA but now that forum is blocked from work.... Anyone having the same issue??
