Swype

I am new to Android so forgive me if this is easier then I am finding it. I downloaded swype. I have followed all the instructions I saw in another post. But when I try to select swype as my keyboard it is not listed as one of my options to choose. I have gone to keyboard settings and checked the box next to swype. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if all is set up right in the settings area, as per this thread, just tap and hold in any area where you can input text (typing a message for example) select input method and select swype. for swype to work right for me I had to reset the phone.

Re: Swype

Go into settings, language & keyboard, click on Swype and then go to tutorial. It will ask you to set Swype as your touch input. (You can still switch back and forth) this should activate the Swype keyboard.
