Bluetooth w/Windows 7 & SideShow

Has any successfully paired their Diamond with a Windows 7 machine and been able to get WMDC and/or SideShow to recognize it?

I have both the Win7 machine and Diamond discoverable and they both can see each other. I can also pair them without any trouble, but after that it does absolutely nothing. The Diamond shows up in my bluetooth devices on the Win7 machine, and vice versa on the Diamond, but WMDC does not see the Diamond after I connect. I really don't even care about WMDC, as i'm trying to get SideShow working, but as long as WMDC isn't working, SideShow probably isn't going to work either. Any similar experiences?

FYI, i'm running STX 7 (sys 21864).

Edit: Got ActiveSync/WMDC working. Apparently, WMDC will do nothing if you're only logged in via RDP (yes, i'm lazy, the laptop is sitting on the floor across the room).
