5/20 - Toggle 1X updated for 6.5.1/3 Drastically increase battery life!)

Question,

I don't have this installed, but have "Mode of Operation" in the listing. For the longest time I've have changed it to "1X" myself. And it ONLY goes back to "Hybrid" operation if I do a soft reset. If I don't, it stays on 1X.

So whats the difference, if any, between me using this or just doing it myself?

It's the same thing. The mortscript does what you do. If you do it manually, I would recommend WMLongLife.

To call WMLongLife from Mortscript on our VGA Diamond:

I dont know if anybody else noticed but because of the larger bars at the bottom of the screen in 6.5.3, the Mortscript calls for clicks have been skewed. I edited the script so that it will now work on 6.5.3. Just replace the one in program files/intx/ with the one in this post. I dont know how to make cabs yet but intx feel free to update yours with this if you want to.

Audiovox 6600
Unfortunately there is no PhoneSetting key in HKLM/Software/OEM/
I have been trying to create it and DWORD Decimal
HiddenModeOperationPage with zero value
but no Mode of Operation in Menu, Phone Settings, Services
Does anybody know how to have WinXP see Audiovox 6600 with UPST?
Then it should not be a problem to switch EVDO to 1x.

FIRST: THANKS to intx for the original script. Had been looking for this kind of solution to toggling the 1x Only and 3g for some time. I've modified the original script just a bit more by removing a line that was hanging up the script on my Titan at the point where it's supposed to scroll down the list. Just plug in the coordinates for YOUR buttons. Leave everything else SAME, And it should work fine. Also, 1 script is for wm 6.1, the other for 6.5.
6.1 is set to scroll down 6 items before clicking "Get Settings...". 6.5 is set to scroll down 8. YOUR "MODE OF OPERATION" ITEM MAY BE AT A DIFFERENT SPOT! IF SO, JUST COUNT DOWN HOW MANY IT IS, OPEN THE SCRIPT WITH A TEXT EDITOR AND CHANGE THE TWO SPOTS THAT SAY 6, OR 8. SAVE AND ENJOY.
(Just fyi if interested, I currently have ALee's 6.5 light titan rom flashed. But I really don't think the rom version matters as much as the screen resolution. Ie. qvga, vs wvga, etc.)

TO FIND THESE COORDINATES TO PLUG IN TO YOUR SCRIPT: TAKE A SCREENSHOT OF THE TWO RELEVANT SCREENS. THEN OPEN EACH ONE IN PAINT AND PLACE MOUSE IN CENTER OF EACH DESIRED BUTTON YOU WISH TO CLICK. LOOK DOWN BY BOTTOM OF WINDOW AND YOU'LL SEE THE COORDINATES FOR THAT SPECIFIC SPOT. JUST REPLACE THE COORDINATES IN SCRIPT WITH THOSE NUMBERS AND SAVE. FOR EXTRA CONVENIENCE, MAP THE SCRIPT TO A HARDWARE BUTTON AND NO MATTER WHAT WINDOW OR APP IS OPEN ON SCREEN, JUST HIT YOUR NEW "3G/1X TOGGLE BUTTON" AND SWITCH BACK AND FORTH ALMOST INSTANTLY. YOU'LL EVEN SEE THE PROCESS AS IT'S BEING PERFORMED.YOU CAN ADJUST THE SLEEP TIMES BETWEEN BUTTON CLICKS IF YOU NOTICE ANY LAG ON YOUR PARTICULAR PHONE.
