They probably had a bug in it considering Long Island was down yesterday for a bit.

Thank you for the Update. I was on 60654 as my Diamond would not OTA with previous PRLs for some reason. I just tried 60657 and it Updated :)

Re: update 11-11: Sprint PRL is updated to 60657

My Diamond started updating on its own, and has been updating for about 2 hours now. Is it OK to do a soft reset when the phone is in the middle of a PRL update?

Thanks in advance.

2 Hours? Wow!
I would have soft reset it a long time ago.
Try the PRL Update afterwards. It just got locked up for some reason. It happens.

Re: update 2-8-10: Sprint PRL is updated to 60660

I noticed that prl 60659 drains battery on diamond.For last 10 days my phone was eating battery about 80% overnight.Regularly it was about 20%.I reflashed room and radio-no help.So i got another new battery and still same expierence...Than i changed prl to 60655 and wola!.Everything normal again.
So i am guessing that this prl thing is not just saying what roaming network to use,but also how offen to check for av networks or somthing...
So anyone can confirm my experience or its just my phone behavior?

<sarcasm>

It's probably your spelling; the word you were looking for is not wola, nor is it viola, but voila! (thx for the correction, wmdunn)

</sarcasm>

Frankly, PRL can have an impact on battery because it will set an order of preference for roaming tower selection. While PRL 60655 works well for you, it might have the exact same impact on someone else as 60659 did for you.

Best regards,
-boggsie

Don't worry about it ... at least it wasn't your wife or girl friend who called you out. Besides ... mom was right ... takes one to know one!

Honestly, I have not seen any change in battery since updating to the latest prl. However, it could very well be causing issues in your area. Using the older prl is not a big deal and if you are getting better results, no need to update.

Re: update 3-9-10: Sprint PRL is updated to 60662

update 60662 was short lived, 60663 is out. Alot of people complained about 60662 so I guess this new one might improve things. Flash shipped to get it or extracted prl will be out soon enough. good luck.

edit: updated prl in first post.
