Can I Leave My Diamond Unlocked?

I recently did a search on how to hard reset my Diamond.
So I did or actually I didn't do a hard reset but I unlocked my Diamond.
Alot of the stuff on the web has instructions on how to do a hard reset but are really instructions on how to unlock your Diamond.
Alot of misinformation out there.
But the question is:
Is it ok to leave My Diamond unlocked?
and if so, is there anything I should be aware of if I do leave it unlocked?

It's fine. The unlocker is a patched bootloader modified to allow flashing an unsigned ROM. It's not part of the "normal" operation of the phone so it won't change anything. Heck, flash a custom ROM you might find it better than stock.

I never did flash a ROM but I got my Diamond running pretty good now and it took awhile for me to get it just right.
I'd hate to start from scratch

you get used to starting from scratch. heck if you do it enough you can get your setup time pretty low

if you just leave it unlocked MAKE SURE you lock it before you give it back to sprint

EDIT:......hey the least you could do is try some radios for your phone

A different radio, not a bad idea.
I have the Sprint stock radio v1.11 which is a world better than the radio version that originally came with the Diamond.
Any suggestions regarding which radio may even give me better reception and battery longevity?

that answer depends on you actually. radios vary depending on where your located. and actual coverage. thats like asking me why you get better service than me when i live under a tower and you live in a desert. if you go to the radio thread you can see that some people say one radio is better then others while another person will say a different radio is best for them. although the telus radio is the most known famous radio

I hear ya.
I was reading in another thread that someone is having a problem getting their stock radio to work properly after flashing a different radio but flashing the stock radio back again.
Is it possible to flash back the original radio and then have a problem with its reception when there wasn't any problem with it before?

the only problem i have had with going back to my actual stock radio is that the service sucks because for me that radio is really bad in my area, but i can only say for myself.

So things should remain as they were before flashing a new radio, for better or for worse.

they should remain the same. i have a weird problem with my radio when i flash a new rom but a reflash of the radio fixes it. if you have a problem with a radio, such as bad service or it just doesnt seem right, i would reflash the radio.
