New Diamond Rom Upgrade (Bugs)

Alltel/HTC recently released the new rom upgrade...2.00 something.

I just would like to let everyone know there are a few bugs/features that you need to be aware of.

1. When you receive a message in threaded mode, you actually have to select the message using the D-pad to mark the message as read; Replying does not mark it as read. Apparently this is a new feature of the newest build of windows.
2. The phone has issues with replying to texts. If you are in the inbox and receive a text, when you open the message to reply, you can't click in the text box... You have to open the keyboard with the button.(or close the text and open it back up.) When they keyboard is open, the first word in t9 mode is never recognized. It won't actually start typing until the second word you type. Not too sure why this is, but it does it.
3. The phone will lock up randomly for about 5 seconds then unlock. This usually happens during texting. I'm trying to figure out when it does it. (does anyone have a logging debugger so I can log everything?)
4. The phone will hang when you charge it over night some times. I've woken up twice (with the alarm set) and the phone has been locked up. (it would show the time it locked up...)
5. The newest rom does not like to be accurate with texting. Sometimes in t9 mode, it will do weird words. For example, instead of to, it will do vo. Which makes no sense... But okay.
6. Call waiting does not work properly. For some reason, when you recieve a call while on a call it likes to lock up. Not all the time, maybe this is isolated not sure yet. I'm running more tests.


There are a few good things... But the bugs suck.

Here are some good.
1. There is now a slide to answer feature. very cool.
2. When you end a call, you have the option to add to contact, add to exisiting contact, or to cancel.
3. Opera has been updated. It's more stable and better rendering. Also quite faster.
4. (Nuetral) When the battery is low, the phone yells "The battery is low."
5. The phone does seem to load the answer call program faster.
6. When the phone deos lock up/crash... the phone still works. >.>
7. It no longer shows Unknown caller. It shows the number of the person instead.

There are a few more... I'm too tired to think/care.
I wouldn't recommend updating to the latest version. I'm going back to the shipped rom eventually. (I have two. One I mess with, and one is under warrenty. I'm going to put the warrenty one back to shipped... I still have juicy on the hacked one. lol)
