Thanks for the info, I've added grooveROM 5 to Telus list.

We can all agree that pretty much any ROM should work on any carrier. But like Willis111 said in #16, some ROM cooks make their ROMs with a specific carrier in mind and as such package different applications with it that are more specific to that carrier.

My intention was not to get into a big debate about which ROM is better and for what reason. Everyone has their preference. I just wanted to try and compile a list of "confirmed" ROMs - ones that have been tested and can be expected to work on a specific carrier. I was a noob a long time ago too (still have my Apache and cook my own ROMs for it) and if someone woud have taken the time to compile a list of what ROMs others have successfully used and for what carrier it would have put my mind at ease to think that at least someone else has got it working for my carrier for the ROM I want to try. (Does that make any sense???)

Anyway, if the information isn't useful the thread will die a slow and painless death. It doesn't matter to me, I just was trying to be helpful to some of the more junior members.

How about this question:

Has anyone had a generic ROM *not* work on their Diamond? Give us the details please.

Sprint is my carrier and I have tried:

RSTG - works great
Sprint Maint - works great
Sprint Stock - works great

Juicy 8 - works except for internet sharing for my MacBook, love this ROM, but cannot go without being able to using it to get me on the internet with my MacBook!

Groove - works except for internet sharing for my MacBook
Mighty - works except for internet sharing for my MacBook

Updated. Thanks. I don't have a link to the Stock Sprint ROM though. The links on HTC's site all link to the maintenance release.

Alltel:
grooveROM 5 Diamond Edition [062609]
Juicy_8_090618V
MightyROM4_06.20.09_Victor

MightyROM5 messed my diamond up, I had to restore it.
