Problem when trying to answer a call
Good Afternoon Everyone,
Every so often when an incoming call comes and I try to answer it using Slide to Answer or pressing the Talk key the phone doesn't answer. If I slide the slide will remain on the answer side but still I either have to wait or sometimes it won't answer. Does anyone else have this problem? I am currently using the new Mighty r3born rom but this has happened with all roms I used including stock. |

Re: Problem when trying to answer a call
That is Shaggylive's #777 regedit fix. This has been a common problem on the Pro and the Diamond, this regedit resets the data connection so that the phone will allow you to answer. Often the data is active or inactive but not 'off' and the phone is not allowing to answer call... this allows the call to be answered.. I can't explain more clearly because I don't have the words... but in the original registry this key is a multistring value.. the cab puts it as single string and solves the problem... The actual edit is:
HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings Set key "SuspendResume" to a singlestring value (delete old key add new key single string) and set value to #777 |

I will test this out hopefully it works... will update with results soon as this does not happen everytime...

Re: Problem when trying to answer a call
I posted in xda about this very same issue. I have the Slide to Answer feature on my Sprint Diamond with the new stock 2.00 ROM.I also have S2U2 version 1.62.I thought there was a conflict with the S2U2 and the stock Slide to Answer so I posted this issue in the S2U2 thread which is 100's of pages long. I could not answer incoming calls either and had to soft reset twice in a row to resolve the issue, at least temporarily. eenieMINI:Will the fix you mention resolve my issue?Caller ID was getting screwed up also. The Caller Id would show across the top but I would also get a secondary caller id which would flash across the middle in small numbers. That may be an S2U2 conflict but I have not received any answers to my posts over at xda.

Re: Problem when trying to answer a call
Biker you can certainly try it, it won't hurt to have it at all. I am not sure but your problem could be related to the S2U2 version. I did not upgrade to that version because of the issues reported. I kept the 1.5x version. I also have the slide2 answer portion of S2U2 disabled...
But the delay/no answer problem fix above could help and won't hurt! |
Re: Problem when trying to answer a call
eenieMINI, which version of S2U2 do you have, 1.52?I will download the cab you posted and most likely download the previous version of S2U2. Can you please post a link to the previous version of S2U2 as the previous versions are not that easy to find. Btw, I also have the Slide to Answer set to off but I do have the Caller ID enabled. I wonder if I should disable the S2U2 Caller ID or maybe there is a registry setting to disable the stock Slide to Answer/Ignore on version 2.00 of the stock updated ROM.What do you think. Thanks.

Re: Problem when trying to answer a call
Yes I have 1.52 version. I have both caller id and slide 2 answer from s2u2 turned off... the htc caller id/slide2answer screen comes up fine with the screen locked and doesn't get all jumbled.
I wonder if you tried using the windows dialer instead of the htc dialer and then used the s2u2 slide to answer/call id feature.... but I don't like the windows dialer pad.. things to try for yourself I guess. :) For the s2u2 v 1.52 try this link: http://s2u2.eqvipage.dk/S2U2-download-1.52-VGA.html |
