Ok, I have had some recent requests for my ported TD2 no arrows keyboard. I have a new cab with the ActiveSync problem fixed, and another Pad Ported.

I have only tested this on the diamond not the pro.----->(I do not have one)

The Diamond is VGA.

No it doesn't include the keypad ill work on that soon, I've never really used it. ***NOW IT DOES***

Is there anyway to get a Compact Qwerty on this?

I love Compact Qwerty with T9. It's alot quicker than using a full qwerty because you're (ok maybe just me) less prone to mistakes because of the bigger buttons, plus T9 helping.

I like fingerboard, but I have trouble while walking/driving and using it since it needs a bit more precision.

Adding in Compact Qwerty from Calkulin's thread usually borks any current SIP's AND his has the first letter missing thing that is annoying.

Would be awesome to have a single SIP that could do full qwerty and compact, with the power of T9 with Fingerboard and/or new TD2 keyboard. All in one without having to change SIP would be best.

Probably a big request, but thought I'd ask. :)

Thanks! Seems to work decently, I love the speed of button presses and holding down buttons in Fingerboard, but I like the Compact T9 option as well. now I have both!

It would be really nice if it was possible to get both of these and CompactQWERTY in the same package.

I'd also LOVE to see the phone keypad (multiple letters per key) in this package. I always hit the wrong keys with the QWERTY. I know you might not have time, I understand.

phone keypad all the way.. no arrows, if you can do it.. with no options button. no one uses that, just gets in the way.

Does the XT9 word addition work properly in this version?
[ie. When typing in XT9 and a word isn't recognized, I tap the "+" to add a word. In the OEM kb, the toggle would switch to ABC mode automatically and it would actually work in that mode until the new word was either accepted or rejected. In the most recent versions, it was impossible to switch correctly into ABC mode- it either wouldn't switch at all or it would say it had, but XT9 was still working and so I couldn't actually enter an unrecognized word.]

i do not use that feature, thats what you guys are for. test it and post what did and what did not, and what you were doing at the time.

Installed- same thing happens.
I type a word that XT9 doesn't recognize and it tries to enter some random word (it's set for English, but those aren't English words... do we have an XT9 editor around?). I tap on the "+" and start typing and the button/toggle indicates ABC, but it won't let me enter my word without altering it. [ie. I try to type a name, "Dorey", but on the last few letters it insists on showing "Adorey". Not even a word/name and certainly not what I typed.]
That's the issue I'm seeing.

OK have you tryed using the my words app, on my diamond i have put it into my start menu apps. i dont know about your rom but when i add a word in the app it works great. the app is in the windows folder if you installed the cab, it may be called et9mywords.exe

I installed the full keyboard with the new Mighty R3BORN beta. I seems to break activesync for me. Anybody else have this problem? Going back to Frugal ROM for now.

i have a question to savage or some one who knows the answer.
i install Savage TD2 Keyboard no arrows v4.5 and .
everything run find but some time stop shown the key i`m pressing.. if there a solution for that or some one know what is causing that issue.

Does it seam to work fine with other roms.
i have tested it on 4 roms with great results.

what rom are you running and how often does it happen.
I have found a glitch that sometimes stops showing, if i put the keyboard down and back up it works fine.
Previously, there was an issue with not giving feed back after being charged.
It kinda looks like it has a sleep setting that disables it after a period of time, a soft reset fixes it. i have set my phone to automatically soft reset at 5:30am when im getting up at 6:00am and have not seen this since.

Are the two posted files completely different? Do I need to install both to get a regular KB and a phone pad? Or does the Phone Pad include the regular kb?

you can only use one or the other.

i have uploaded cabs to toggle between the two, you can put them in your start menu programs.

A SOFT RESET IS REQUIRED FOR THEM TO SWITCH

i`m using mightyrom r3born. it happen very often. and yes sometimes a soft reset fixed but sometime not. what suggestion do you recommend?
also ,the way i install the cab , was by killing the SIPGT using task manager the install the cab ...(that the way it should be install or the is another.)

what are the toggle cabs for? i installed the v4.5 cab that was on here before the toggle cabs came up, and it seems like i can switch between qwerty and phone keypad just fine. (no other versions are installed on my phone either)

the sip will only allow 1 to work if you want the QWERTY install the QWERTY Toggle cab, if you want the PhonePad install the PhonePad Toggle cab. they will not change by selecting them in the sip menu even though they are shown. Something is missing, but since the TD2 has only been out a few weeks, i have not been able to get a hold of the device. to do some testing.

im not sure why, but im able to switch between the qwerty and phonepad no problem. just hit the arrow next to the kybd icon at the bottom and select whichever i want. keyboards are working awesome- nice and quick.

im using this OEM i made, which was built using the v4.5 cab. (in this OEM i turned off the click sound and the vibrate for when a key is pushed, bc i think typing tends to lag with those options selected)

unless im missing something here, i can switch fine between full qwerty and phone keypad via the sip pop up menu...im pretty sure the only catch is that you have to use the new htc menu enhancement to do it. i know the menu enhancement only works on 21000+ builds, but if i remember correctly all you need is the gwes.exe from a 21000+ to make it work on older builds.

yeah that could be the problem....im runing 6.1 build 21028. although i was messing around with 6.5 builds and i could have sworn it was still working...although the thing is i cook in the htc menu enhancement (even though the default 6.5 menu show up instead). let me test it on my 6.5 build and I'll let you know.

ok i tried it and it works if you have htc menu enhancement. but i ill keep the cabs up for those who have problems.

I got the hardware key mappings working, and this includes Compact QWERTY and an improved Landscape layout.
