Try exiting opera using the opera menu on the lower right side, then check.

Re: Opera9.exe Kills Battery

I can't find any of the stuff you guys have mentioned, but one thing is for sure, I got a Opera9.exe and a OperaPreL.exe running all the time in the taskmanager. Even If i kill them, they come back instantly. In my Windows\Autostart (I don't have a Startup folder, I'm on a Swedish stock ROM which may be the reason) I have AutoShortcut, HTCStartUp, iLock2, poutlook, SIPChange. I searched the registry and nothing at all..

Re: Opera9.exe Kills Battery

Hmm sorry Art. I wish I could tell you where to look. Did you check the registry like I suggested above.

Yea I did check hkcu\software\htc\bootlauncher, but I had no Opera folder there. I also searched the whole device registry for "Opera" but found nothing that had anything to do with startup :/ Well I guess I have to live with it, the two processes only takes 1kb each according to TaskManager.

Re: Opera9.exe Kills Battery

I at least managed to kill the both processes now (had to kill OperaPreL.exe first to get them both gone), no problem for me to kill them right after bootup so I guess this is my solution for this

Re: Opera9.exe Kills Battery

Sorry man. Like I said, try a different ROM. The ones here are CDMA and will only work on phones in the US.

Re: Opera9.exe Kills Battery

Yey, Stock ROM 2.03 fixed the startup problem. Opera is no longer started on startup
