Re: Which manila file controls background?

here is the .png (yes it has to be long like that or the hd manila will stretch it)

to cook it in there is a lazy way and proper way. the lazy way is to rename the image "~Avatar-1" then go to oem/oem drivers and replace the existing ~Avatar-1 file (bow the picture will be in my pictures when you go to the settings tab/wallpaper).

the proper way is to place the picture in one of the oem folders you are going to cook in and adding the correct codeing to the intflashes file (or something like that). for more info read rstoyguy's tutorials on how to do this. just look for his thread "custom vga oem requests" in the diamond upgrade forum. and in his post and signature he has a link to "adding files to your rom" or something like that. if you have any questions I'll can try to help you with what i know.

i could have sworn there was a fix for this somewhere...hmmm any way i have some questions for you then: what were you trying to do when you edited "4a087e41_manila"? replace it with another picture or something else? my second question is was there a B4AP that worked but just mis-allined the slider? cause i have a fix for this.

You mention the hd manila but do you think this would also apply to the black portrait manila?

Re: Which manila file controls background?

Rhodium... I edited over the black area of the default manila files listed earlier in the thread. Left the transparent areas alone. What I get is the portrait is still black and in landscape the image is not properly fit to the screen. Do I need to select "stretch image" in cfc gui, or am I doing something else wrong?

Thanks.

sounds like you are doing it right, and no I never use "stretch image". just post or send me the picture you are trying to make into the background and I'll do it for you.

wait now I'm confused...are you trying to cook the regular non-hd black manila into your rom? if so just cook in background for all pages so you can use whatever background you want. then cook in whatever files you want using intflash files and your done.

here is the link to fine out about intflashfiles

Re: Which manila file controls background?

well I guess there is no other way to do it on the standard manila except use b4ap. I was hoping not to have to use it cause always caused me problems. Thanks for all your help tersoth.

are right, the last one (and the portrait one you have been having problems with is 6b5182a8_manila
Which one of these are for landscape? There must be two because i tried to have different backgrounds for portrait and landscape and changed the one that looked to be probably landscape, which was 29cff4fe_manila, but it came up short and was 1/4 portrait background and the rest the landscape background that i wanted. So which two are for landscape?

6b5182a8_manila is the portrait background
29cff4fe_manila is the left side of the landscape background
058acf31_manila is the right side of the landscape background
29cff4fe_manila I'm not completely sure but I think it is the background for "select city" on the weather tab or something like that.

Anyone know how to change the default rhodium background if you're using the showaco alltabsbg mod? TIA!
