Here's a cab that will install 2 cabs with shortcuts to the start menu, a battery saver and a normal one. The battery saver one will practically disable the gsensor, light sensor & opera gsensor checking. There are more tweaks that can be done but these should help those that don't use landscape or the light sensor for anything

Re: Exploring (poor)Battery life further.............

UPDATE:

I removed my taskbar and battery driver which shows increments of +-1% and soft reset the phone a few times, it was weird because it was impossible at first to remove the driver and taskbar, finally it did. I then reinstalled and soft reset and plugged into power outlet, my battery was now charging at 400 mA instead of my usual 950 mA, of course it sounds like a faster charge but my drain was also above 120 at idle and 300 to 400 just reading this website (very odd). Now i idle at 66 down to 50 mA and my charge is actually charging better, and more reasonably at 400 mA with no charge bursts and drain bursts, i will do further tests, however what i did to unload capacitors is remove the battery for 5 minutes. Its like the first time you bought the phone, and need to condition it. No tweaks necessary although may be helpful thanks calkulin post.

Re: Exploring (poor)Battery life further.............

Update after battery depleted,

Idle 13 to 66 mA (very good numbers)
charging 500 to 600 mA
running moderatly and consistent at 475 to 625 mA while using the net, games or streaming, or making phone calls!

Hands down the custom rom wins versus the stock, i managed to get a full day and made several calls possibly 35 to 45 minutes worth, web browsing, some streaming, weather and email updates and a few poker hands.
What i didn't use is wifi, beam and bluetooth at all. Im content with the life of the battery, very solid, I also was not being unrealistic with the time frame for the amount of things the diamond does!!!

Which custom rom are you using? Still on the Telus radio? Anything you added or changed over what comes with the rom? Thanks
