can't change settings.

I made a search but couldn't find anything that really helped me. I'm running a diamond on mighty rom and when i download cab files like the finger keyboard, but whenever I try to change my settings to either use the new keyboard or to put the phone in landscape mode instead of portrait it never works. it lets me change them but as soon as I leave that screen they go back to default. I'm new to the whole diamond thing so please be gentle if this is something really easy to fix.

be sure you are using the correct version of the keyboard. I will link you in a bit to the one you should use.

Heres the file for you I actualy uploaded it as XDA is running an archived forum. Here ya go

Don't forget to thanks

For installation...

1. Go to internal storage
2. Go to program files
3. Make a folder called FingerKeyb
4. Drag all the files in the zip to there
5. on the phone click register
6. click yes
7. soft reset?
8. configure

thanks as soon as i get home I'm going to try this out but does anyone have any clue why i can't put the diamond in landscape mode

im not sure if im reading this right but go to start>setting>personal>input and pick ur keyboard there and it should set it as ur default

it's not that i cant go into my input and choose what I want it's that after I choose the keyboard, or landscape mode it doesn't stay i click ok and then go right back into my settings and they haven't changed

also i tried eveything you lined out Dom and I can still choose fingerkeyb in my settings but it's from there that nothing stays. no matter what I have tried so far.
