Internal Storage Issue

Apparently my phone did not like being hard reset. After the reset, I receive a message that states:

"Contents in Internal Storage cannot be accessed. Please exit storage mode by removing from USB connect from device."

The thing is, it's not plugged into a USB drive.

When I try to format the internal storage: I receive an error message stating that it cannot be found.
