Android for HTC Touch Diamond (DIAM500)
I found something really interesting!
A new ANDROID package has been released. It's still incomplete: no connection (1x - EVDO or WIFI), but the colors and keyboard issues are fixed so your can see and feel Android. (Runs well on my TELUS CDMA DIAMOND) ![]() Download it, and run it. You don't have to flash your phone or install anything. It runs like an application. The first boot is REALLY long (3 - 4 minutes) Don't reset your phone. It'll work! I take no credit! They did all the work, i'm just sharing the info: The Android port for the HTC Diamond More infos on the current state of the project

Re: Android for HTC Touch Diamond (DIAM500)
I think I just might give this a shot. I've been interested in seeing what the 'hype' about Android was and this seems like a fairly safe way to do just that.

Re: Android for HTC Touch Diamond (DIAM500)
Considering that the vogue is a totally different phone, it isnt gonna work on the diamond.

Re: Android for HTC Touch Diamond (DIAM500)
this works great on my sprint touch diamond.. you really couldnt have said it better "so your can see and feel Android" with the connections not working you cant get the full experience but what a huge step forward.. thanks for sharing, i wasnt aware that it had progressed so much..

Yeah, that will be exciting. It's cool to see that they're still working on getting it going for the CDMA Diamond though, I thought it was all but dead.
