I would just chat online. It's fast and you don't have to deal with any questions. plus you can confirm online once it's added. I just added insurance about a minute before i wrote this and it took less than 5 minutes.

Guys, thanks for all the inputs. I was told by someone that HTC could fix it for only $80, but the downside AFAIK would be no phone during the repair as they ask you to ship it back but give you no loaner.
The reason why I do not want to mess with add TEP to my plan or anything added on to the plan is that I'm on SERO and currently enjoying the extra 25% employee discount. I don't want to lose it when someone experienced checked into all the details when adding those add-ons. |

Then get used to repairing your phone or having it repaired. You could repair it yourself. And don't worry about warranty since it's void anyway.

Or you can go to a corporate sprint store and they can order a replacement device thru e-ticket as a warranty claim and they will charge you a hundred bucks. They usually arrive next day as long as the replacement is ordered before 2pm. I work in a corporate store.
Also, insurance can only be added within 30 days of purchase...but there are ways around it |

I logged into my online account, and apparently the TEP option in Add-ons could not be checked at all. I think maybe customer service could do it manually.
Anyways, I've heard people claim that it is totally YMMV in repair center, sometimes, guys just let you pay $55 to get it fixed even for no coverage case. I think I'll try my luck, if not I'll just leave with it. |

Sprint will only allow you to add it within 30 days of activation. If you call and continue to ask though, they can add it, but it's very rare. I had to be escalated to Executive Services in order to get mine added after just 45 days.
