Can the sprint mobile email be transferred from the old touch

Can I transfer the sprintmobile application from my old touch to the diamond so that I can get hotmail go work and does anyone know what the cab is called?

Why not use Windows Live for hotmail?

I really dont want to have to go into my browser to access my email. I would like for it to pull up in the mail tab with my other mailboxes. This was the way it was with the old touch and it makes things simpler to go to one tab and have everything there. Maybe I'm missing something but when I try to add hotmail.. opera opens up and takes me to the Windows Live log in.. any ideas?

actually if you use windows live it will do the same thing the sprint email cab did, but ive attached the sprint mail cab anyway. i use windows live to get my hotmail and the sprint cab to get my gmail.

p.s. when we say windows live we mean the application found in your programs folder. it comes on the diamond

When you goto Mail > Accounts > New Account and add a hotmail account, it should say something like "We've found a program for these settings" and then you click ok, and it launches Windows Live. Once set up, hotmail will then appear in the mail tab like everything else, as its own account.

What ROM are you on?
Try launching MSN Messenger on the phone, as I think it will launch the same setup.

BE SURE NOT TO SYNC CONTACTS. Unless you really want to.

I never really used live so I always assumed it was web based program or something like yahoo messenger.

It does launch Windows Live, but in Opera.... I didnt think by adding it in Opera that it would register in the Mail tab...
BTW.. I am on the original Sprint Rom

Ahh I've been looking for this cab. Thanks, now I can push my yahoo mail.
