As for the order... I just uninstalled and reinstalled to make sure that the following works.

1. Install "FingerKeyb-2.0-WVGA.cab" from the first post. Install to DEVICE!
2. Open the "Reef's VGA-Portrait-Compact.zip" attached to this post and copy to Program Files\FingerKeyb\Skins and allow it to overwrite what is in there. Soft reset.

If you want to use one of the skins I made, just unzip it and put in the same skins folder as before. "Watzone69Red" is already in the Reefs VGA zip file.

Which reminds me, Reef48, would you please replace the zip file in the second post with the one I am attaching? Thanks dude!

One other note, if you are uninstalling, you don't have to "unregister" it like the old one. After uninstalling, be sure and delete the folder out of Program Files since it gets left in there.

I hope this has been of some help. If so, you know what to do!

The skin pack without the arrows is the same size as the one with the arrows, so you really don't save any screen space at all.

OK this isn't working for me, when I install it, I soft reset, and then I go to a message and try to change it to the FingerKeyb, and all I get is a clink, and then my phone freezes up.

Any Ideas what that may be about?

Hey there fellow jarhead.
I had the same problem, you might have to soft reset twice. Also, make sure you overwrite the files for VGA. If that doesn't work, try removing it and starting over. It might take some time to get it working

yeah I installed clean.. unregistered old version then soft reset and then uninstallled via sktools.. then deleted leftover folder and dll file.. then soft reset and installed wvga.. then wvga compact before I realized I needed vga but I never tried to use keyboard, then installed the vga.. edited my keys text the way I wanted . the " was missing and i use it a lot. .. chose my skin and I was good. No arrows except on number pad.

That explains my arrows.
I skipped the first one (English/Polish file) and went straight to the second file (Reef VGA compact).

EenieMINI, which txt file controls the key text. Also, have you figured out how to change the font color???

key text are files that suggest vga land eng.txt (not exact) and vga port eng.txt as well as land and port digits.txt just be sure you're editing on your PC and edit both the output and the appearance.. it will be obvious.. follow the pattern thats all I did.. if Imessed up I just unzipped the original again. I'm not sure where the colors are located.. I think in the original file...

Wouldn't font color be the fffff and the b3b3b3 for the hold .. .these are in the scheme txt file that has the scheme name. also efefef for selected.. so ffffff is the white large lettter.. b3b3b3 is the upper letter that you get when you hold key.... and efefef is for the pressed key. use a hex chart to choose new....

Hey watzone you edit the font color in skin scheme file. Also check out the document file in the KingerKeyB file. Drag it to your computer and it explains everything on editing skins.
