OK Tried verizon radio and flashed back to stock after two days. absolutely horrible in my opinion. going back to the stock rom.

in honolulu,hawaii .new telus radio has the best reception (mostly 4 bars) but data is slow in some areas,new sprint has more consistent data transfer,and okay reception 3-4 bars.

side note, first thing to do with any Bell phone, change the home SID/NID to telus, and keep the Bell towers as lower priority. Faster service, less dropped calls, and much better coverage.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but how do I change my Bell phone to use the SID/NID for Telus? I'm getting occasional dropped calls in Toronto.

I live in Tampa, FL and have stock sprint radio with Groove ROM but still get horrible signal. Does anyone have any idea what the best radio would be for that area?

I have tried all of the radio versions here in Miami, Fl.

The telus radio, by far, runs cooler and seems to give me a longer battery life. I do have issues with it switching between evdo and 1x, but normally if I move 50 feet in any direction, it corrects itself.

I have taken a friend's touch pro running stock rom and radio and compared it to mine. Both of our phones would switch to 1x at the same locations.

It could be that the sprint coverage of EVDO is spotty.

I barely even get a signal in the interior portions of my building in Downtown while the ATT, Verizon, and Metro PCS phones all have signal.

I live in Orlando but was in Tampa this past weekend and had no problems with signal anywhere in the city using the Telus 1.04.05 radio. I was up on the north side of the airport and also down in south downtown at Channelside for a while and coverage was great.

I flashed the Telus radio and I must say signal has been miles better, my house normally has 1-2 bars now has mostly 4 very happy.
