Re: how to trust gmail.jar
Can you try a different version of jbed? or is your version cooked into your ROM

Re: how to trust gmail.jar
No, I installed the Jbed. I just don't want to lose the whole process I went through to set up my gmail shortcut with icon! If I save that somewhere else and then put it back once reinstalled will I be ok? I'm guess I could have to change the s#_ part but that's no biggie. Do you have a version of Jbed you recommend? I currently have 20070403.

Re: how to trust gmail.jar
I seem to have gotten the permissions to work correctly with 20080222.3.1 but now everything is tiny. I guess I could deal with it since the permissions work correctly and I can now touch scroll which wasn't possible before with the Jbed I had. Now I have to fix my link to work again!

Re: how to trust gmail.jar
I've gotten everything working but I'm really not fond of the super small font. Are there any Jbeds that are made for VGA that will also work with the permissions?

Re: how to trust gmail.jar
This used to work for me, on my T-Mobile (USA) MDA (HTC Wizard), running WM5, with Cloudyfa's JBED installed in main memory. All I had to do was run fix.exe on the selector.utf file.
Now I have an IPAQ 910, running WM 6.1. I have installed JBED versio20080912.5.1 on it, which can be installed on the storage card. I have it installed to the storage card. Therefore, the path to my appdb folder is not \Windows\appdb. but rather: \Storage Card\Program Files\Esmertec\Jbed 20080912.5.1\appdb. Anyhow, I put fix.exe in the \appdb folder, and ran it on the desktop computer. (With the card in a card reader. It backed up the previous selector.utf file, and created a new one. I inserted the card back in the phone. When I tried runing Gmail and Opera Mini, same as before, the constant permission requests. After reading this thread, I added the policy.utf file in this thread to my \appdb folder. (It did not already have a file by that name.) I also looked at the new selector.utf in a hex editor. It had changed the domain to tckmax. There was only one space after that word before the comma though, so I added two more (both for Gmail and Opera Mini), as it is stated in this thread that there should be three.) I saved the changed file, with the added spaces. I reinserted the card in the phone, started up gmail, and again-the same permission requests. Neither fix.exe, adding the policy.,utf file, nor editing selector.utf, made the permission requests go away. What else should I try? |

Re: how to trust gmail.jar
Opera Mini you should just be able to download the signed version (click on install another version when using your phone.) I use the verisign version and it works fine.
As far as gmail are you sure you replaced the policy.utf file with the one from this thread? I have either had it work or had jbed not open. Try opening jbed select gmail, go to actions, info. what does it say under untrusted domain: |
