No Sound From HTC Touch Diamond

My HTC Touch Diamond stopped outputting any sound this afternoon....no, rings, no music, no feedback sounds, nada. I Googled the problem and found references to the Touch audio failing after disconnecting from a BT connection. The fix was a soft reset. This is what happened to me....was connected via BT to my car for hand-free use. And the soft reset did indeed fix the issue.

Has anyone else had this issue, is it in fact associated with BT useage, and is there any sort of permenant fix other than a soft reset (which is fine if you know you have the problem, but most times you won't know, you'll just miss calls)?
