Re: Diamond Resets by itself help!!!!!!

Was this ever resolved? I'm running radio 1.11.00F and it reboots itself at least 5 times a day.

That's odd it does that. Is the battery loose?

No, the battery is in there good. I flashed the telus radio yesterday, been working fine since then. I'll report my results after a few days though.

Re: Diamond Resets by itself help!!!!!!

Kinda sounds like a bad battery or a power issue.

If the phone suddenly draws alot of current and the voltage sags to below what the CPU's need to run - it could cause the phone to freeze or reboot.
You figure when the phone rings it does the following: radio turns on and starts a constant send/recevie stream, screen wakes up, speaker turns on, vibrate motor turns on, BT may need to connect to a headset so that's more load on the radio/cpu - there is a whole lot going on that all needs da power!

Mabe see if they will give you a replacment battery first before asking for a phone swap. Have you tried leaving it on the charger to see if it has issues?

I have 2 replacement batteries and it has rebooted randomly with all 3 of the batteries.

I've seen it reboot 5 seconds into a phone conversation, after pulling out the usb cable when activesync'd, when listening to music via bluetooth with both S2P and WMP, and also just sitting in my pocket doing nothing (I feel a vibe thinking I got an email, but its the reset vibe).

Re: Diamond Resets by itself help!!!!!!

My previous Diamond was doing all kinds of weird stuff like rebooting on its own, freezing, not syncing, etc. I had to soft reset ten times a day. I was told that with WinMo phones, freezing and resetting was part of the privilege of owning a Windows Mobile device. I put up with it and accepted it for 2 months until my touch screen separated internally and failed completely. I received a replacement Diamond with the updated ROM and Radio and have not had any of the previous issues. It has been great. I have a couple of minor issues but that is fine.
