using sashimi for backing up settings

ok.. so i've been searchin far and wide and even on win experts where sashimi is located and there isn't one specific thread that explains how to do it...

after searching i've found most locations on where to find registry entries for saving weather, opera bookmarks and even backlight settings.. however couldn't find the smaller ones like how to save the long press end/send buttons and other such things..

basically i was using spb backup before but was afraid i'd be negating some of the changes made b/w rom updates after flashing which is why i've made the switch to sashimi.. seems pretty simple so far... but was havin issues with what i stated above..

another thing is am i just expecting too much??

and on a side note.. whats the max number of contacts that can be stored as favorites.. i dont remember before having a max but now i'm maxed out at 10.. i could be wrong.. i'm using mightyrom with telus radio

thanks

Re: using sashimi for backing up settings

I'm pretty sure you just put the registry path in, however for some of the standard tweaks your probably better off just putting an exported reg file in the regs folder..

I just started building my shashimi setup and there's a few holes to fill in yet, but I plan on sharing my setup when finished. Ideally I would like to see a shashimi "base" for each phone/carrier with all the basic aps/tweeks that should work on all roms..

Re: using sashimi for backing up settings

I was just about to create a thread about this too as i am in the same boat and frequently flash and would like an easier way of setting up my cabs settings etc without manually doing it. Ive been on the Sashimi website too but havent found a way how to set up cabs, registry, settings etc. Would greatly appreciate any help.

Re: using sashimi for backing up settings

There isn't one folder that contains the reg keys for your program settings. You have to find them. If you post what specifically your looking for Im sure those who know will psot them.

Ok gotcha been searching and the only one i seemed to find was for wmwifirouter which was in the program folder. The ones that i need help locating are for the following programs. 1) Coreplayer 2) MagiCall 3) MemMaid 4) PowerSMS 5) Resco Explorer 6) spb Backup. Thanks for all your help.
