How do I stop the incoming call to 'ring' in my ears through headset ?

It is really loud... and I can't even lower the volume down.

On Vogue I don't think I ever heard the phone ring in (really inside) my ears...

It shouts the crap out of me when I am listening to music with headsets or just have earplugs in my ears while driving or working....

Turn off the option to have MSVC announce incoming calls.
This will turn off the audio gateway that pipes the ring through your headset and you'll go back to just hearing whatever ringtone your headset normally plays.
I'm assuming that you are talking about a BT headset. I don't know if this works the same way with a wired headset.

No - I was actually talking about wired headset - the stock one sent by Sprint. I did not even have MSVC instaleld (actually I turn off in auto start...)
