S2U2 alternative

Anyone have a suggestion for an alternative to S2U2? I loaded it yesterday and liked the functionality but my volume keys stopped working correctly (hitting the volume would pull up the volume adjustment screen but wouldn't actually adjust the volume) and I also experienced my first lockup. I know it is a good program but I'm wondering what else might be out there and I would prefer to not pay for it if possible. Any thoughts?

pocketshield is the other popular one, but it's not 'freeware' (the trial is indefinite and barely nags, though). I wouldn't mind finding some more alternatives, either - s2u2 looks nice, but all I keep hearing about are lockups and sloppy uninstalls.

edit: touchlockpro from over at xda is a promising one.

If you search around I believe there are already fixes for the problems you are having.

Nice dude I didnt even know they had an alternative. I am playing with it now. I love the shake features. I was just trying different shakes to see how stable it was. Well the phone flew out of my hands and landed on my nice soft leather couch thank goodness and it was still off. Now time to load a hex editer and get rid of the nagging.

I'm back to S2U2 for now.

PocketShield keeps on randomly freezing for me, and TouchLockPro occasionally chooses not to power on the phone (have to press the power button over and over and over again before it wakes up).

Take a look at Throttlelock 0.4 over on XDA.

I started using it and I like it..

With no problems so far. You must remember to reset your device after install.

It is just like the unlock on Google android....
