Re: DIY Black battery cover
should i be concerned with the back cover warping due to the heat?
|
Re: DIY Black battery cover
no, just dont boil the water. Keep the stove at low and it should be fine (no bubbles or ripples in the liquid, just hot enogh you cant keep your finger in for long)

guess i had the heat just a little too high b/c my cover is slightly distored. i'm actually quite please because now it fits much tighter. thanks OP, and to the OP of the origial thread! |
Re: DIY Black battery cover
can someone confirm if the texture and feel of the back cover is still the same?
|
Re: DIY Black battery cover
yes, the texture and feel are the same as when it came out of the box... only black!

Here are mine...I painted the usb jack with some black acrylic paint. I wouldn't suggest doing trying it out unless you are skilled painting with a tiny brush. It turned out pretty nice and it matches the black on the back of the cover.

Re: DIY Black battery cover
looks great man, what type of acrylic paint did you use if you don't mind me asking?

Re: DIY Black battery cover
So does anyone have an extra batt cover that they can sell? Urm... Success100? Or a link or anything to someone who does?
