acbPowerMeter And My Diamond Today.
I found this program last night and noticed two "strange" things so I figured on running it all day just to see.
The program is "off" on the time. The indicated time on the graph is about half of actual. I've checked the discharge current against "Battery Monitor" and the two agree, so I figure that part is accurate. It also doesn't seem to care if it's charging or not. Only discharge is measured. Here's what I came up with: Screen02a.jpg Strange Finding #1: the lowest line on the graph is 13mA. I used Gyrator to turn off the screen and lock the phone when it's upside down. When waking up the discharge will be at 13mA each time. That's ridiculously low from what I've read others are getting at idle. Strange Finding #2: the discharge current is higher when plugged in. The flat bottom line to the right is where I was plugged into the car charger on the way home and plugged into the computer. On the way inside the house the current dropped back down to it's lowest level. I assume it's going into some higher power setting when plugged in(?). In the 10hours it was off the charger it used 560mA worth of battery. This is with the Juicy 3.2ROM, Gyrator, Seven Pushmail and the app itself running constant.

I changed the firmware a couple times last night, and am doing it again right now, I noticed that they don't have that steady drop to 13mA like Juicy 3.2. I'll need to play with the indicator and see how much current that really pulls. It couldn't be that much much in 5 minutes but I suppose it could add up. |
