Do your hardware buttons work?
Ever since I got my Diamond all 4 of my buttons barely work. I have to play with them a LONG time to get a response. Is this an issue with everyone? It's quite annoying that I can't ever make a call when I need to. I have to save them number to contacts and then dial from there. I'm wondering should I make the 40 mile trip to the Sprint Store (I'll probably exchange for Pro)?
This is gonna suck if someone ever breaks in my home. |
Re: Do your hardware buttons work?
Hmmm I just noticed it happens more when the phone is hot. Which is 70% of the time.

Re: Do your hardware buttons work?
All of my buttons work without issue. If you have having a hardware button issue I would get the device exchanged.

x2, mine does it to

Re: Do your hardware buttons work?
mine do it also. That center round button stick at the top. And pressing the home button you have to hold it for a cppl seconds to actualy go home.
My friend has the gsm diamond and his work really well. I think with the time crunch htc had to reproduce a cdma version of the diamond they just threw it together. They have also tripple stacked cards inside the phone and its constructed poorly. As for the heat issues file a complaint with the consumer product safety commission. After a 100 or so complaints they are forced to do an investigation into the issue. And as hot as the phone gets they will do a mandatory recall. |
Re: Do your hardware buttons work?
My buttons work perfectly fine, and home/back buttons are instant if i press in the right spot. Call/end buttons work fine also. I haven't had any issues with heat besides when using the phone when charging.

Re: Do your hardware buttons work?
the buttons work, but the directional buttons are kinda hard to press because cause its so skinny.

Re: Do your hardware buttons work?
The only issue I have to deal with is using the left and right directional pad. It's so close to the home back button that sometimes the phone chooses home when I want to go left and left when I want to go home.

Re: Do your hardware buttons work?
Yep got the same issue but not all the time!

Re: Do your hardware buttons work?
Pressing my directional pad to the right works only about 20% of the time. All other directions work fine, as well as other buttons, but pressing to the right is often non-responsive, until I make a concerted effort to find that "sweet spot".
Been lazy, but I feel like I should swap it out for a new unit due to that. Quite annoying when I am working with text and need to move right...! Matt |
