Opera unusable

I've been browsing this forum for a while, and I haven't seen anyone else have this problem. On my Diamond, the Opera browser will black out parts of the screen, starting with a narrow black line on the right and bottom, progressively growing larger and larger until almost the entire screen is black. It doesn't always do this, or maybe it only happens on certain websites. The last time I tried to use Opera and gave up in frustration it was when browsing linkedin.com

Has anyone else come across this problem? Any suggestions for how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!
