Need stock Sprint shellres.192.dll.0409.mui
 

I have altered mine and they are not like manila files where upon deletion the stock one will replace it. Total Commander will simply not allow deletion, period.

So I am trying to give the guys at XDA a stock shellres.192.dll.0409.mui file because it contains the Start Icon as well as the EV/1X & Signal Strength Icons....and it would be nice to replace them with custom icons. Currently, they only have the GSM version and it doesn't not change anything but the Start Icon for us CDMA users.

Someone please post up a stock .dll so I can get to work on it. The Signal Strength & EV/1X icons are already made and ready to go.

Rename it with TC, then delete it and soft reset.
Should be back after that, I just tried it :)
Let me know if that doesn't work and I'll upload it...

those are nice, wuold be nicer if they were a more vibrant color ( not to complain at all)
i posted on XDA the phoneoverbmp and shellres. not sure if its the file you need though

will these by chance be put in Darloards Cab? or just a .DLL that we can put in the windows directory? persoally i am useing darklords ( not the picture you see) battery meter,and all his Icons. the sat. is an awesome signal icon. could we possibly get a speaker phone icon and VM icon? im trying to make icons too ,have been trying actually, but look nothing near as good as the ones he makes

Sorry, but TC is not allowing me to copy the file to anywhere else.
I'm not trying to insult your intelligence, but even according to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=426264 "If you want to put your original system just erase your shellres.96.dll.****.mui file and soft reset." Maybe you'll have to install Icone demarrer.cab, which is a 2 registry key. It's in the above thread. Anyway, just trying to help out, not saying what you want is impossible. :)

rename the file in TC to shellres.96.dll.0409.mui.bak. then copy the file you want to go in there. and you can then soft reset and delete the file you dont want.

Did you just copy over the BT On.bmp & BT Discoverable.bmp over? I did this and my BT icons are overlapped with the stock ones and come out grainy. Did you alter the BT mask.bmp? I'm using the same BT icon .bmp as you.

I'm trying to get darklord69 the stock Sprint shellres.192.dll.0409.mui so he can put all these icons into it. Hopefully it'll just be a .dll and not a cab...easier, IMO.

As far as I know this is the first development for an entire Taskbar makeover for CDMA so lets be sit back and see what happens.

yeah copy them again, now that i think about it, i had to soft reset and turn bluetooth on and discoverable for them to work. when i turned on bluetooth at first, they had the regular windows one working, turned it discoverable and soft reset, and they worked

All I have ever been able to replace is the battery , bluetooth, speaker, and start menu. How far have you been able to get?

This is as far as I was able to get, still waiting on the developments to change the signal icon and the Ev/1x icons.

And I've read around that changing the Reminder icon and voicemail icon could potentially muck up all your stuff, any confirmation on this?

For those wanting to mix the black Ev/1x icons and the coloured icons, I've made .dlls for the combinations (note: the voicemail icon and speakerphone icon remain the original from brock1909's file).

in the shellres.dll.192.0409.mui the file for the multiple message is there, along with the start menu icon. there are signal icons in there that i will try to play with later on tonight...wonder about the shellres file....?

I was looking at the shellress.192.dll file and I noticed the signal icon in there, using PE explorer it's number 32 and 34-37 in the Icon Entry folder and I noticed that it's a 32X32 1-bit icon..

I wonder if this has anything to do with changing it, because if we want to change this icon you'd have to replace it with a 32X32 1-bit icon which contains almost no colour therefore we couldn't put in the awesome looking satellite signal..

Unless you know of a way to replace the icon so it doesn't have to be 32X32 1-bit but 32X32 32-bit? (which is what the Ev and 1x icons are).

Nevermind, I see that you can change it because I looked over DarkLord69 shellres.dll.mui that he sent to Chef Ben (on xda-developers, post #351) and he changed it fine in there (from a 1-bit icon to a 32-bit icon), so my question now is, how do you change it? everytime I want to change the icon to a higher bit icon it won't let me replace it?

Any help?

I also see the satellite icon in the LargeTitleBar.dll, did you try any changes in there?

There is actually a post #309 that has a new .CAB file with all his edited .dll files but for some reason when I installed this on my phone it didn't change the speaker icon so I did it in two steps.

I first downloaded the .CAB in post #243 done by MRE-net using DarkLord69's icons. This is where he has his first original battery (this is where your speaker will change).

Then to change just the battery icon to his new one, I installed his phcanOverbmp.dll (had to replace the other one, by renaming it to phcanOverbmp.dll.bak, then copied over the new phcanOverbmp.dll from my Internal Storage to Windows using Total Commander, then did a soft reset and went back to delete the original phcanOverbmp.dll.bak - see post #538 for any more clarification)

That's how I got my speaker icon and battery icon.

If you have any other questions, let me know.. hope this helps :)

I attached the phcanOverbmp.dll because that took some searching to find, but the first file the .CAB, can be found easily at the xda-developers thread at post #243.

I believe the Sprint CDMA signal icon is in the LargeTitleBar.dll. It could quite possibly all be related to this registry edit...

5 = Telus Thick bars

checked out the largetitle bar and it seems that its just the large title bar, not anything to do with the start bar ( unless i am very wrong)

ill check out the largetitlebar.dll and see what i get. i changed the registry, thanks i like the fat bars anyway :)

largetitlebar is just as it says, jut the icons for the title bar when you enlarge the start bar. dont see if having anything to do wit the actual start bar becuse the signal icon is what is in the file and not whats on the start bar.......??
stupid signal icon is killin me, i changed it in my file, and it shows the sat dish in the file, but does not show up on the phone.

we also need to change the OK and quickemnu button..

tried to change the NOtify, did it successfully, but after i did it i lost the option to dismiss the alarm/alert.....weird, so went back to original and all works

I just updated my Diamond with a rom that contains Sys 19972. I noticed that the Dlls psoted here don't work. It appears that the icons are in a different spot in the Dlls. I tried copying the original Dlls off the phone so I can replace the icons myself but its giving me the "Access Denied" error message.

Does anyone have any ideas ? Thanks.

With the speaker Icon it changes the look once you click it where you have to click an arrow to go from system to phone, how do we get the old look back?
